The design is inspired by the “City of Animals” scarf pattern.
Giraffes, dinosaurs, monkeys and toucans all appear in the city of illusions, performing a joyful and unrestrained comedy. Every detail tells a story: a dragon occupies the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw; a leopard occupies the Kremlin in Moscow; bears and crocodiles whisper at the foot of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. The audience at the window of the Hermès flagship store on Avenue Faubourg in Paris took a front row seat to enjoy this cheerful drama. The playful and complex composition was created by Jan Bajtlik. The designer graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and “City of Animals” was his first scarf for Hermès.
